I’m Ray Serrano, lifelong hockey player, advocate, and founder of Charlotte Hockey Lab. I built this place because hockey shouldn’t be hard to find in the South. After countless hours chasing rink time, trying to find coaches, and seeing great players sit idle because the resources just weren’t there, I decided it was time to change the game.

The Lab isn’t just a facility. It’s a movement. A welcoming space created for players, coaches, and teams who believe the sport can be more inclusive, more accessible, and more fun. Whether you’re here to train, shoot around, hang out with friends, or just reconnect with the game you love, there’s a place for you here.

We’re not here to replace local rinks or existing programs. We’re here to support them. We partner with clubs, coaches, and organizations across the region because together we can build something sustainable, exciting, and long overdue.

And we’re just getting started. Our vision goes beyond Charlotte. We’re bringing the Lab to underserved hockey markets throughout the South, cities full of passion but short on opportunity.
